LEDA Nutrition started producing gluten and dairy free health food bars in 1996, to cater for the increasing dietary and allergenic requirements. Equally important to us was the growing number of health conscious consumers seeking healthier snacking alternatives.
After much experimentation we developed our first range of gluten and dairy free snack bars - "Slim & Natural". These baked fruit slices revolutionised healthy snacking, offering many health benefits including 'low fat' and 'no added sugar'. This product, now named the LEDA Bar, is a generous 85gram slice, enjoyed as a great energy or breakfast bar.
Through some new innovative processes, we introduced a co-extruded fruit-filled bar range launching our LEDA Gluten Free Multipack, available in 3 flavours - Triple Berry, Strawberry & Apple/cinnamon. The convenience of 5 bars in a box offers a healthy snacking choice using only natural ingredients, with no added sugar and is Sulphite free.
In 2006 we created the ultimate Chocolate biscuit, launching two lines Choculence and Minton. These products saw the emergence of a new gluten and dairy free era, offering delicious cream filled, chocolate coated biscuits! Flavours - Double chocolate (Choculence) and Mint chocolate (Minton).
Further exciting biscuit and cookie lines have since been added including Gingernuts, Coconut, Golden Crunch (gf Anzac) and Choc Chip cookies, offering low allergy and dietary alternatives to popular mainstream lines.
In 2000, LEDA Nutrition was awarded the inaugural winner of the "Queensland Supermarket Product of the Year" by the Qld Grocery Industry Association and State Development - for the most innovative and successful food range.
In October 2005 we were honoured with the "Mayors Innovation Award" in Queensland for our products collectively.
LEDA Nutrition currently produces over 18 gluten free products which are sold throughout Australia and New Zealand, through major Supermarkets & Independents and Health Food stores.
